Vinous (02/2017) 95/100 "One of the stars of the vintage, the 2014 Les Carmes Haut-Brion is total knock-out. Graphite, smoke, red cherry jam, spice, cured meat, pomegranate and tobacco are just some of the myriad sensations that race out of the glass. Today, the 2014 is gloriously ample on the palate, with remarkable nuance for a wine of its size. The Carmes Haut-Brion has been terrific in two recent tastings. The blend is 54 % Cabernet Franc, 32 % Merlot and 14 % Cabernet Sauvignon, all aged in oak, but with some influence of 500-liter tonneaux and 12-hectoliter casks. Simon Blanchard is the consulting oenologist. "
R.Parker (04/2015) 90-92/100 "The Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2014 is a blend of 54% Cabernet Franc, 32% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines that are being converted to organic, undergoing a 30-day cuvaison with 15% to 40% whole clusters. Around 74% of the crop is matured in 80% new oak, 16% in 1,200-liter oak foudres and the remainder in 1-year old oak. Winemaker Guillaume Pouthier (ex-Chapoutier) has fashioned a bold and opulent bouquet with macerated black cherries and boysenberry jam. But it does not really 'sing' of 'Pessac-Léognan', not at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannin on the entry, but then there is a wave of ripe, black, grainy fruit infused with graphite and cedar and it finishes in a bravura fashion with a seam of coconut originating from the oak. I would want to just check how the oak integrates with time by bottling and it may merit a higher score then. It's gonna need a top wine to match the architectural ambitions of its Philippe Starck-designed winery - this is certainly going in the right direction."
Wine Spectator (03/2017) 90/100 "This has a fresh feel, with a juniper streak adding energy to the plum coulis, red currant and bramble notes. Flecks of bay, pepper and tobacco fill in on the finish, giving this good range. Not the densest of the pack, but well done."
Wine Enthusiast (03/2015) 92-94/100 "*Barrel Sample* Dusty tannins float in this impressive wine. It has dark layers of black fruits and acidity that cushion the dry, tannic character, with great freshness at the end. "

Les parcelles du Domaine des Grands Chemins sont situées sur les terrasses des « Chassis », à proximité du confluent Rhône/Isère.
Cuvée issue des grands terroirs de Crozes-Hermitage, le Domaine des Grands Chemins 2015 fait la part belle à l?expressivité de la Syrah (l?assemblage comprend éventuellement 15% de Marsanne ou de Roussanne au maximum).
À la dégustation, le Crozes-Hermitage Domaine des Grands Chemins 2015 présente une robe à la couleur profonde, rouge grenat parée de reflets violine. La palette olfactive exprime toute la typicité du terroir des Chassis sur des notes légèrement fumées et des arômes de réglisse qui accompagnent les notes gourmandes de fruits noirs compotés. Des notes de menthol et d?eucalyptus viennent compléter le développement aromatique. Au palais, l?expression du terroir d?origine s?illustre à travers une attaque en bouche franche, subtil équilibre de fraîcheur et de densité. La bouche évolue sur une matière soyeuse à la structure tannique bien présente pour s?achever sur une finale à la belle persistance. Un grand vin de la Vallée du Rhône à la belle capacité de garde."
R.Parker 91/100 "The 2015 Crozes Hermitage Domaine des Grands Chemins represents a middle tier in Delas' Crozes hierarchy (Les Launes is the least expensive, aged exclusively in tank; Le Clos is the most expensive, aged exclusively in barrel). This wine is perhaps the most charming of the three, revealing attractive notes of dried herbs and spices on the nose, along with red berries and black cherries. It's medium-bodied and savory, marked by flavors of black olives and espresso, then it lightens again on the richly textured finish. Drink it over the next decade or so."

Then flavors similar to the aromas, and above-average acidity for a wine made with so much Auxerrois (this is a blend of 80% Auxerrois and 20% Pinot Blanc). Unlike Trimbach?s 2017 Sylvaner, this is made for the most part with bought grapes (though Pierre Trimbach told me he would like to limit the bought grapes to 50% of the total). No matter ? it?s an outstanding Auxerrois wine. "

Ken's Wine Guide (05/2019) 91.6/100 "This pale straw-colored wine from Alsace, while labeled Pinot Blanc is mainly made from Pinot Auxerrois. Regardless, it is very good! It opens with a pleasant honeysuckle and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very nicely balanced between its acidity and fruit. The flavor profile is a tasty lime and lemon blend with notes of very nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of faint grapefruit and a dash of white pepper towards the end. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors drift away nicely. This white wine is very food friendly and would pair perfectly with grilled swordfish this summer. Enjoy"

Auchan "Château Bernadotte 2011 est un Haut Médoc d'une grande finesse, offrant des notes de fruits rouges et d'épices. Il offre un très bon potentiel de garde ! Robe : Rubis. Nez : Notes de fruits rouges. Bouche : Belle attaque, souple, ample et soyeuse en bouche."
Wine & Co "Château Bernadotte 2011 a été élevé 12 mois en barrique de chêne (1/3 : neuf, 1/3 : 1 vin, 1/3 : 2 vins).
D?un rubis dense aux reflets violets, le millésime 2011 présente un nez gourmand de fruits rouges, de tabac et de boisé, en particulier du cèdre. Après une belle attaque souple, ample et soyeuse en bouche, soutenue par beaucoup de matière, le vin se développe avec une jolie matière et de la rondeur. Doté d'une bonne persistance, il est bien équilibré et comblera les amateurs de Médoc.
Ce vin possède un potentiel de garde satisfaisant (environ 15 ans)."

Millesima "Dans la lignée du mythique Unico, Valbuena 5 Ano fait partie des vins emblématiques de l?iconique bodega Vega Sicilia.
Ce magnifique vin témoigne de la typicité des cépages et du terroir de la Ribera del Duero. Valbuena 5 Ano 2014 est en effet issu d?un assemblage dominé par le cépage noir emblématique de la zone, le Tinto Fino (95%), complété par du Merlot (5%). Le cru est élaboré à partir d?une sélection de vignes âgées de 35 ans en moyenne situées à 700 mètres d?altitude dans la Ribera del Duero, située dans la province de Castille-et-Léon, en Espagne.

It's expressive and has floral notes on the nose along with wild berries, herbs and a spicy and smoky touch that's nicely integrated. It has good complexity and nuance, and the palate is medium to full-bodied and intense, with pungent flavors and great length and persistence. Truly spectacular! 184,684 bottles, 5,578 magnums and some large formats produced. It was bottled in June 2016."

It delivers darker fruit aromas and flavors, black cherries and plums, dark chocolate and licorice. The palate is deeply fleshy with rich blueberries, cassis and dark roasting herbs. Very deep-set, powerful black fruit with a deeper tannin texture. The power and freshness here is extraordinary. Deeply layered. Superb. "
R.Parker (Wine Advocate 2019) 96/100 "2014 est un millésime spectaculaire de Valbuena et me rappelle le 2010 avec peut-être un peu plus d'élégance et moins de puissance. Il est expressif et a des notes florales au nez avec des baies sauvages, herbes et épices et une touche fumée qui s'intègre bien. Il a une belle complexité et le palais est mi-corsé et intense avec des saveurs fortes et une belle longueur et persistance. Vraiment spectaculaire ! "
